Today was the first day of class with our new comics instructor, Jesse Recklaw. We had a half-class with Nicole to see her off, then welcomed Jesse into the fold for a lesson on lettering, which was really helpful. I've been practicing my lettering for years now, but I never really thought I was getting much better, only faster. So I was pumped when he shot me a compliment on my lettering skills after handing back my sketchbook, saying this stuff should be easy for me. That's great incentive to keep it up, and looking at it now, there is marked improvement from even just a year ago. I'm excited to go and get some new pens this weekend and work on expanding my stylistic toolkit.

On the Sunrise front, Project LN is building rapid steam, our network is gradually weaving its way together, and R.D.'s bloody getting married next week, so things seem to be steaming along quite nicely. Check out the Concept Art section for a couple of new gems from the archive if you're interested. I suspect one of them may creep you out in a way you've never quite experienced before.

Until next,

KG
